The minimum eligibility for MSc specialisations at Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject with a minimum aggregate of 50%. For instance, an applicant looking to take up Biochemistry or Biotechnology needs to have a degree in Biological Science; to pursue Computer Science, one should have a BSc in Electronics or any other allied subject. For other such specialisations like Environmental Science, and Psychology, their requirements are different for allied disciplines. This ensures the applicants have the minimum basic knowledge needed to succeed in the chosen specialisation.
