What are the eligibility criteria for NUCAT?

NUCAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria: The admission to the Bachelor of Technology programme will be under the General Category (Students who have passed Class 10+2 in India) and the NRI category. Students must have passed or are attempting the Class 12 or equivalent examination in India. Subjects: Students should have studied Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects. One subject from Biology Computer Science, Chemistry Electronics, or Information Technology. The students should have English as one of the languages of study in Class 12. The student should have scored 45 percent marks (40 percent for reserved category) aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and any one of the optional subjects mentioned above, in Class 12. Age: The applicant must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admissions year. NRI Category: NRI category includes Foreign Nationals or Persons of Indian Origin (Students who have completed Class 12 outside of India or students sponsored by parents or blood relatives who have NRI status or are OCI) The admission for the NRI category will be based on inter-se merit, taking into account the marks earned in Physics Chemistry and Maths courses in Class 12. NUCAT (Nirma University Common Admission Test) is an entrance exam conducted by Nirma University for admission to its undergraduate engineering programs. The eligibility criteria for NUCAT are as follows: Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens. Age limit: Candidates should be born on or after 1st October 2000. Academic qualifications: Candidates should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects. Minimum percentage: Candidates should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in PCM in the qualifying examination. However, in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories, the minimum aggregate percentage required is 40%. Appearing candidates: Candidates appearing for the 10+2 or equivalent examination in the current academic year are also eligible to apply for NUCAT. However, they must provide proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
