What are the eligibility criteria to get a job in merchant navy for the post of electrical officer?

sir,i am B-tech(ECE) fresher with 68%. I would like to know the electrical officer post in merchant navy. I came across some institutions providing 4 month training for this post. Can you tell me the career growth and can get opportunity to become the chief eng after getting exp and passing exam

Hi Karthik, Yes, There is a lot scope of electrical engineers in merchant Navy. As we Naval officers require to remain for months on the ship and as for this fact one would require to have electrical engineers to keep a track on the smooth functioning of the ship's electrical and wireless sections.
