What are the eligibility criteria to pursue M.Tech ?
hello sir i am kamal..,my aggregate in b.tech is 59.83.....,so wont that be rounded as 60% and considered by IITs if i apply for an M.TEch through GATE....??\n n also do regional engg colleges(RECs) specify a minimum 60% mark of agg. in B.Tech for admission into M.Tech..?? plss answr me asap sir..!

Hi Kamal,
If you are looking forward to write the GATE exam, as per the eligibility criteria the minimum aggregate required in your B.Tech is 60% and as your scored is less then the required, you cannot write the GATE also it is important for you to know that the round of percentages are not accept

It varies from university to university. As per AICTE norms the percentage has to be rounded if it crosses .5. There must be some error in valuation. First discuss with the profs of your engg college and find out if the percentage can be rounded.
