To be eligible for the JIPMER MBBS course, candidates must fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria. Aspirants who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate are eligible to apply. The students must hold the relevant documents at the time of form filling or admissions (original/copies). These documents are required by the authorities for verification purposes.

The eligibility criteria for admission to the MBBS programme at JIPMER are as follows:

    • Students must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
    • Must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (45% for SC/ST/OBC/OPH candidates).
    • Must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.

Admission to MBBS at JIPMER is mainly based on the marks obtained in NEET UG by the candidates. Based on the All-India NEET UG Scores, seat allocation is done through MCC NEET UG Counselling.
