Hi,
In order to sit for engineering entrance exam, one needs to pass 60% in 12th from recognized board.
Some of the entrance exams are :
JEE Advanced: Joint Entrance Exam Advanced
JEE Main: Joint Entrance Exam Main
ATIT: All India Admission Test Icfai University
BITSAT: Birla Institute of Tech

Generally it is 60% in class XII. However, you can cross check with the respective websites.
As far as Engineering Entrance Exams are concerned, they can be bifurcated into 3 groups:
1. All India based-
IIST Admission Test
Bureau of Energy Efficiency
IIT Joint Entrance Examination
All India
