The English Language Requirements for Undergraduate and Graduate international students at University of Melbourne are given as follows:

International students whose first language is not English must meet the below English language requirements:

UG Admission Requirements

PG Admission Requirements

TOEFL iBT

Score of at least 79 and scores of 21 for writing, 18 for speaking, 13 for reading and 13 for listening

79 – 104 with written score minimum (24 - 27) and no individual score lower than (21 – 24)

IELTS

Score of at least 6.5 with no bands less than 6.0.

6.5 – 7.0 with written (6.5 – 7.0) and no band less than 6.0

PTE

Score of at least 58 and no PTE communicative skills score below 50

Minimum of (58 – 65), with writing skills of minimum (58 – 65) and no other communicative skill below 50

Note: Above UG English language requirements are for all undergraduate programs except the Bachelor of Oral Health*
