What are the English Language Requirements for International Students at the University of Maryland?

Applicants whose first language is not English must submit the proof of English language proficiency. Your English language literacy exam results (which must be less than two years old) must be submitted directly from the testing agency to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The submission will not be deemed complete until they obtain the results. Any one of these English proficiency tests is accepted:
English Tests Accepted for UMD Admissions Minimum Scores Required TOEFL (iBT) 96 Duolingo (DET) 120 PTE 68 IELTS 7.0
