International students are required to submit their English language proficiency test scores to show that they have a specified level of English language ability. The below table shows, the University of Hertfordshire English language requirements for international students:
Test Minimum score International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band) for UG
- 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any band) for PG
Pearson Test of English (PTE) - 51 (with no less than 42 in any band) for UG
- 58 (with no less than 42 in any one band) for PG
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - 72 for UG
- 79 for PG
Note: IELTS, PTE, and TOEFL tests are valid for 2 years and must be valid up to the date the CAS (Certificate of Acceptance for Studies) is issued.
