GIBS prepares the students for placements through well-structured, industry-focused training systems that help in building professional skills, confidence, and corporate readiness. They start preparation from the first semester in the GIBS Finishing School (CPMP-Complete Placement & Personality Development Program), which trains students on a weekly basis in communication, aptitude, group discussions, interviews, corporate etiquette, and resume building. It also offers domain-specific skill training, certifications, and workshops on current industry needs.

The internships, live projects, Industrial Visits, Case Study-based Learning, and interactions with CEOs and entrepreneurs give them a wide scope for corporate exposure. Regular mock interviews, aptitude tests, soft-skills sessions, and one-on-one mentoring help in the identification of student strengths and aid in better preparation for company drives. Apart from these, GIBS holds placement readiness boot camps, guest lectures, panel discussions, and career counseling sessions to get students fully geared up for recruitment processes. The eligibility criteria for different programs offered by GIBS Business School vary. For BBA, candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from any recognised board in any stream like Science, Commerce, or Arts. Students awaiting their results of the final 12th or PUC exams are also eligible to apply. For PGDM/MBA, applicants must have a bachelor's degree (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) in any discipline from any university recognised by UGC, AIU, or AICTE with an aggregate of at least 50% marks. Applicants need to have valid scores in any national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT, or relevant State CETs. Though it is not necessary to have work experience and extra qualifications, such experience/qualifications will be an added advantage during the selection process.
