What are the facilities available in IIT Ropar mechanical branch ? Please inform me about the hostel and campus as well.

Hostels and campus of IIT Ropar are average but the mess is very nice and clean. Almost all the sports are available there. But the hostel rooms are too small and there are four people in a single room. Cleanliness of the whole campus including hostels is average but not great. No. of faculty members in IIT Ropar Mech. branch is very high as compared to other new IITs and some old ones. Most of the professors are very experienced and friendly too. Intern opportunities for Ropar students are also very large. If you are looking for MBA or higher studies, then this IIT is probably the best option for you among other new IITs. But there are certain limitations also. Job opportunities in IIT Ropar Mech. are somewhat less due to some unknown reasons.Many facilities and courses for core Mechanical are less or not available in this IIT. Participation of many big institutions from outside India like DAAD are also not available. So, if you are looking for a core mechanical job after your bachelors, then this IIT probably won't be the best option for you.
