There can be an unimaginable amount of factors that can affect the Techno India University cutoff and each exam too. I would like to shed some light on some of the most important factors regarding it. The factors are as follows:

Some of the important factors that will be considered for the WBJEE cutoff are the examination difficulty level, previous year cutoff trends, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, the number of candidates who qualified the exam, and the total number of available seats. It is to be noted that the WBJEE cutoff will vary as per the category too.
Examination difficulty level: The national examinations like WBJEE and JEE Mains are said to be some of the most competitive national engineering examinations in India. Thus, due to the competition, the examination difficulty is varied by the conducting bodies every year in each set. Therefore, this variation does play an important role for the cutoff of the WBJEE as well as the college.
Total number of applicants: The competitive exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE are given by almost 11,13,325 (for both sessions) and 1,24,919, respectively. And this data varies for each year. Although one can say that there is a sudden peak in the total number of applicants as more and more students are pursuing engineering degrees, Thus, this competition has been increasing for a really long period of time, and according to me, it has played an important role in varying the cutoffs for the same college in different years.
Private college: Techno India University is a private college located in Kolkata. Although it is a private college, it has provided great facilities, decent placements, and much more to students, and as a private college, students tend to go more to government engineering colleges. Thus, these two reasons contradict each other a lot for students to join this college, and the decision of the student also varies every year. The college is in a really good location, which gives it a better edge.
