Dear sareeka,
IAS wont make you police officer its IPS that will make your dream possible,
One need to appear UPSC exam for becoming IPS officer,
The civil service examination is conducted by UPSC(UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION)every year. The examination has three stages i.e.,

you have to good knowledge of general study you can prefer tatamacgraw hill or spectrum book for general study , maths from 6-10 c;ass prefer arihant publication book , CSR ,magazine for current affairs, and english
