What are the further study options after completing B.Com?

Hi Akhil, After completing B.Com you have 2 options: 1.To opt for a job. 2.To opt for further studies (MBA, M.Com etc) However as per your profile I would suggest you to work for 2-3 years after completing B.com and then opt for further studies. The advantage of this step would be: - You will gain relevant work experience. - After working you will know which course to pursue that can further enhance your career prospects. - If you are interested in pursuing MBA, then this work experience would help you to decide which specialization to opt in MBA that can further enhance your career prospects.However as per your profile pursuing MBA in finance would be the best option for you. After completing this course you may look out for exciting careers in banks, financial consultancies and financial institutions. You may get involved in consumer and investment banking, institutional finance, merchant banking, corporate finance and international finance. A good experience in this field can also lead you to serve on government committees and contribute significantly to policy-making issues. You may also end up providing consultancy services to corporate and government organizations. The remuneration of MBA in finance graduates is dependent upon the type of organizations that takes them in. Those who work as financial analysts start off with a minimum package of Rs 4 lacs an year. Credit analysts start at Rs 5-7 lacs per annum and earn as much as Rs 15-30 lacs per annum once they reach senior level positions.
