    Aerospace Engineers are more likely to work for the military and government as compared to Mechanical Engineers. While it comes to employment, mechanical Engineering has a wider scope. Both Mechanical as well as Aerospace Engineers get a decent salary. The entrance requirements for both fields are pretty much the same. And to answer this question simply, aerospace engineering isn't harder than mechanical engineering since they both require more or less the same skills.
