Indian Institute of Technology Dhanbad is one of the eminent institutions which offer quality education to the students. The institute offers UG, PG, and PhD programmes under the guidance of experts. The institute has a vast core curriculum which focuses on therotical and practical knowledge. IIT Dhanbad offers great placement opportunities; the median package offered is INR 17.56 LPA.

As per the students' review, the institute has limited nightlife and entertainment options in the city. Dhanbad airport is quite far from the university, which is challenging for the students.

You can get into the BTech courses offered by IIT (ISM) Dhanbad through JEE Mains. However, JEE Mains isn't enough. One must clear JEE Advanced to get into any of the IITs. The same applies to the IIT Dhanbad admissions as well. To summarise:

IIT Dhanbad BTech Admission = Clearing JEE Mains + JEE Advanced + Participating in JoSAA counselling for seat allotment.
