What are the good things about pharmaceutical dept. Of LPU?

Being an educational consultant, It is to answer for me. My friend did his M. Pharmacy at LPU and shared the following things with me. The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences in LPU is among the best colleges in Punjab and India that provides its students with practice-based teaching in advanced medicine labs making them readily employable pharmacists. Wide participation in global research and conferences rewards our students with international exposure in the fields of Medicine, Drugs, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Placements: Placements are very satisfying. Reputed companies of different sectors visit our University. In our stream, pharmacy companies like Lupin, Cipla, Ayurvett, etc. , enter Lovely for the recruitment of students who are efficient. 2 Students Placed In Freyr Solutions At 4 LPA Package:-Amanda and Amanjot selected by Freyr Solutions for the position of Business Development Executive with a package of 4 LPA. Abbott Selects 3 Students At A Package Of 3.75 LPA:-Abbott selected Lavi, Monika and, Sourav at a package of 3.75 LPA. 2 Students Shortlisted In GlaxoSmithKline At 3.59 LPA:-2 LPU students Ave & Nehashortlisted for the position of Medical Business Associates at GlaxoSmithKline with a package of 3.59 LPA. Infrastructure: A 'Lovely' infrastructure with strong and well-coordinated management, strict rules, and conduct. As soon as we think about LPU, things come into our mind: firstly this beautiful environment, drug, and alcohol-free campus, full of student crowd, playgrounds, central library, and many more. Faculty: Faculty members are all good. Guest Lecture From Professor Kylie Williams, University Of Technology Sydney:-Professor Kylie Williams, Head of Discipline - Pharmacy from the University of Technology Sydney delivered a guest lecture in LPU for pharmaceutical students on the scope and career in the Pharmacy field Lecture On Drug Awareness By Zonal Director, Narcotics Control Bureau:-Dr. Kaustubh Sharma, IPS, Zonal Director, Narcotics Control Bureau, Department of Internal Security, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India delivered a lecture on Drug awareness-cum- sensitization programme. Lecture On Quality Control And Standardization By R&D Expert:-Dr. Anil Kanaujia, Head -R&D, AYURVED RESEARCH FOUNDATION, Sonepat, Haryana delivered a lecture on Quality Control of raw material and the Standardization of poly-herbal formulations. I really feel as alumni of LPU, that it is one of the best institution and really works hard to better its students in every way possible. When it comes to Pharma Course, LPU is the best choice. The School of Pharmacy in LPU has a stellar placement record from many years. As per NIRF-MHRD Government of India, LPU Pharmacy School comes under best 30 pharmacy colleges in the country due to best placements, infrastructure, and research oriented faculty and yes industry oriented curriculum. Not only these, the students are trained on various software and technologies which make employability easier, the soft skill training, professional etiquette, mannerisms, ethics and values are inculcated into students for overall development. Some of the benefits that will be provided for pursuing the Pharmacy in LPU are: Full term dissertation course helps develop research aptitude in the areas of community health services and emerging pharmaceutical industry needs. The curriculum of this course lays strong emphasis on in-depth knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of ayurvedic pharmacy resulting in the Knowledge Enhancement. There are more number of workshops being conducted on Drug Regulatory Affairs (DRA), Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Computer Aided Drug Designing (CADD), validation and instrumentation's helps develop research skills in students. In addition to core curricula, course offers subjects like communication, analytical and soft skills to enhance personality and employability. Visits to near by pharmaceutical industries and research institutions as well as guest lectures from industry personnel are an integral part of the curriculum and develop research aptitude in students. LPU has tie-ups with renowned companies from different industries. If we talk specifically of B.Pharma the placement scenario of B.Pharma is getting better year by year. About 60-70 per cent students get placed every year with decent packages. A lot of companies come to LPU for placement, many of which are open to students of all streams. Companies like SmurAgro, Dr. Lal Path Labs, Capgemini, Google, etc. Come to the campus for recruitment of students. Most importantly, LPU makes students capable of getting placed in the best companies of different sectors. It helps them in developing their communication skills, aptitude skills, and the overall personality. Moreover, LPU provides its students with exposure which makes them ready to work in diverse industries.

LPU is the largest university in India with campus spread in more than 600 acres. Ranked among Top 30 Pharmacy colleges in India by NIRF 2019, Pharmaceutical Sciences Discipline is among the best colleges in Punjab and India that provides its students with practice based teaching in advanced medicine labs making them readily employable pharmacists. Wide participation in global research and conferences rewards our students with an international exposure in the fields of Medicine, Drugs and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The programme helps students to understand the basics of drugs and their effects on human body. The course provides hands on learning in clinical activities. You also learn from leading national and international academicians in form of guest lectures and seminars. LPU provides state of the art labs for pharmacy students so that they leave no stone unturned when they complete their programme and they are ready to meet the industry demand. Some of the highlights of the discipline of Pharmaceutical Sciences are: Apart from industry internships students are provided inputs in Drug Regulatory Affairs, Computer-Aided Drug Designing (CADD) etc. Which helps students get the practice or industry experience and happenings.
