    There is a huge scope of this subject, economics. There are two branches of economics Micro and Macro Economic in which they study detailed information about market policy, share, finance and urban planning. Economics graduates can find job opportunities in Indian Economic Service. They can also work in the share market for keeping their views on market investment.     Numerous job opportunities are available for students once they have completed their graduation in the field of economics. On the successful completion of BA Economics, aspirants can seek out for jobs in the public and the private sectors.     There are numerous job opportunities for economics graduate in both government and the private sector. Since you've asked about government job opportunities, I will keep this answer limited to government jobs only.
    An economic postgraduate can apply for prestigious Indian Economic Services and become a research officer or an economic advisor.
