What are the government job opportunities after completing a UG/PG course in Politics ?

Hi, There are plethora of opportunities for a political science graduate in government sector. These include- 1) Professor - After competing BA in Political Science one can do MA in Political Science and apply for UGC NET ( National Eligibility Test) for assistant professor in any university across the country. Apart from this, one can pursue B.Ed and become a teacher in a government school. 2) Union and State Public Service Commission - A graduate in Political Science can apply for UPSC and State PSC exam and become grade 1 or grade 2 officer in the government. 3) SSC - another option for a graduate in Political Science is Staff Service Commission, a candidate can apply for various positions like income tax officer, customs officer, etc. through SSC. 4. Banks/ PSUs/ Railways - One can also apply for IBPS PO , SBI PO, Station Manager, Ticket Checker in Railways. 5) Higher Studies - There is always an option of pursuing higher studies in a different stream such as Law, Management and Media Studies.
