    Dear aspirant, Nice to meet you. Psychologists do have the opportunity to work in the public sector, Like after completing a Ph.D. in Psychology you can apply for the job role of assistant professor in government colleges/universities and you can kick start your career as an Academician. You can even become a scientist in organizations like DRDO etc. If you are a Clinical Psychologist you may work in Government hospitals like AIIMS IHBAS, CIP, NIMHANS IMHH, etc. You can work as a Counselor in Government Schools/colleges.     They can join following Government jobs: (a) Civil Services by appearing in Civil Services Examination (b) SSC examination (c) CDS Examination conducted by UPSC to join Defense Services (d) Assistant Commandent examination by appearing in UPSC examination (e) PO examination to join Public sector bank as officer (f) Bank and Government clerical services (g) Public sector org as Management trainee, etc.
