Psychologists do have the opportunity to work in the public sector, Like after completing a Ph.D. in Psychology you can apply for the job role of assistant professor in government colleges/universities and you can kick start your career as an Academician. You can even become a scientist in organizations like DRDO etc. If you are a Clinical Psychologist you may work in Government hospitals like AIIMS IHBAS, CIP, NIMHANS IMHH, etc. You can work as a Counselor in Government Schools/colleges.
