Underpinned by theories of social sciences, and guided by principles of social justice, human rights, collective responsibility, and respect for diversities, social work engages people and structures to address life challenges and enhance well-being.     There are immense opportunities available for a BSW or MSW graduate in both government and non-government sector.
    You can work for various government welfare programs in the areas of Education, Child welfare, Women Empowerment, Poverty, Family Welfare, Addiction, drug abuse, mental illness, Human Trafficking, etc.
    You can also become community development officer, welfare officer, and development officer, urban planner in central and state governments. You can apply for lecturer/professor in central and state government universities.

    After UG, one can join women and children welfare department. After PG, one can appear in CBSE NET to become a professor in this branch. There are job opportunities in private sector too, especially private NGOs give immense job opportunities.
