Hello, Bachelor of architecture B.Arch is a 5 year undergraduate course in architecture. After the successful completion of the course, the grads can have wide variety of opportunities. Government sector offers a lot of employment opportunities in several areas. Some of the organizations in the Government sector that employs, these graduates include: 1) Hindustan Aeronautics Limited 2) Public Service Commission 3) Housing boards 4) Urban Development Corporation 5) Public Sector Banks 6) Civil Service 7) Defense Some of the commonly available job profiles for B.Arch grads in the Government firms are: 1) Architectural Engineer 2) Architectural Historian/Journalist 3) Building Researcher 4) Interior Designer 5) Branch engineer 6) Art Director 7) Landscape architect There are many jobs in central government too, Some of the areas in the Central Government that recruits B.Arch grads include: 1) Department of Railways 2) Architecture and Building Development Firms 3) Department of Post and Telegraph 4) National Building organisation. Hello! In India, there are big opportunities in government sector after having the degree in architecture. You can work in many diversified areas of government organisation. The organisations like; Dept of Railways, National Building organisation, National Highway Authority of India and etc. are always open to you. Your job designation will be huge responsibility. You have/can work at many different designations likes; Architectural Engineer, Building research, Interior Designer, Section-Branch Engineer. In government organisation, these types of candidates are highly required. In Architecturual field, there are huge job possibilities of Technical Illustration, Set Designer and Building Contractor. Apart from this, highly core designated jobs, there are chances that you can work in Central University (or schools) as a professor or Faculty. They also earn a good salary as well. Hope this helps.
