What are the ideal things to do before the UPSC Prelims paper?

The day before the exam you need to Prepare the essentials things that are listed below; 1- Hall ticket 2 copies 2- ID Card 3- Used black ballpoint pen 3 4- Writing pad (Some desks may be in poor condition) 5- Water bottle & lunch bag. 6- Watch (Smartwatches are not allowed) 7- Make sure to decide the comfortable dress you are going to wear on the day of the examination 8- Due to COVID Masks are necessary. 9- Do check the distance between the place of your stay and the examination center. Plan to reach the center 1 hour before the exam time. 10- Deciding your mode of travel is very important. 11- Sleep well the day before the exam & Always is the most important thing. 12- Eat a balanced diet (The day before the exam and the day of the exam) 13- Avoid Panicking. 14- Go to the toilet before the exam starts. 15- Believe that you will clear and that will happen. For that start with the NCERTs. Read the NCERTs of the core subjects from Class VI to XII to build your foundation. After that, glance through the previous years papers in order to apprise yourself with the kind of questions asked in the exam. Step Three: Build On The Foundation After covering the NCERTs thoroughly, its time to step-up your preparation game and read the standard books for all the subjects. Step Four: Revision and repeated revision is indeed the key to crack Prelims. Make sure you keep your weekends free for revision. During the weekends, revise all that youve studied in the week to retain the concepts for a long time! Hence, keep revising while studying. CSAT, although qualifying, is an important paper as it determines whether or not your GS paper will get evaluated or not. To gauge your efficiency in CSAT paper, attempt one paper, and check your score. You need 66+ marks in order to qualify for CSAT.
