ECE graduates have good scope. They are employed by manufacturing companies in operation and maintenance roles, electronics equipment design and development, Telecommunications service providers , IT, ITES companies. They are also employed as Network engineer in companies IT department. ECE graduates are eligible for engineering services examination. They are employed by PSU and other government entities such as NIC, CDAC, DRDO, ISRO etc. They can join defence services and paramilitary services.

Yes! If you are talking about Electronics and Communications Engineering, you can definately get a job in PSUs. Most PSUs have now started recruiting via GATE.
Most ECE graduates end up in IT jobs. Only few get a job in core engineering field as there are not many companies related to this field in India.
