Nutritionists or dieticians may build a career in the following sectors- R&D (Research and Development), Healthcare sector (hospitals, clinics, health centers etc. ), Government schemes and private organizations, NGOs, Teaching and Education sector. In government sector, the following job roles can be available: 1) Government Schemes and Missions (like ICDS, NHRM etc.) 2) Government Organizations (like FNB, ICMR, and Public Health Foundation etc.) 3) Government R&D units 4) Government Nursing homes 5) Government Nutrition Education Institutes Coming to the private sector, some of the well-known recruiters include- 1) Private clinics and hospitals 2) Nursing homes 3) NGOs 4) Food products manufacturing firms 5) Pharmaceutical firms 6) Private R&D units 7) Private Nutrition Education Institutes 8) Health Clubs 9) Sports Centres 10) Fitness Centres 11) Hotels UN and International Organizations like WHO, UNICEF are also known to hire nutritionists and dieticians.
