What are the job prospects after completing M.Sc in forensic science?

Before you go into the details of requirement for forensic science careers, it is important that you have the following skillset for this field. 1. Good hold on science subjects (especially biology and chemistry). 2. An enquiring mind. 3. High degree of accuracy and attention to detailing in your nature of work. 4. Observation skills. 5. Patience. 6. Able to work under pressure for long hours and team spirit. These skillsets are the basic requirement for every aspiring forensic scientist. What you do on the job? You would be using your knowledge of science to analyse the evidence found at a crime scene. Analysis could be anything from an object at the crime scene, to soil, blood stains, saliva, bodily fluids, bones, fingerprints, DNA profiling, recovering data from computers, researching new techniques/technology, etc. You generally work in a lab and the results you analyse are then used to help solve cases and catch criminals.
