What are the job prospects for M.tech qualified professionals apart from teaching line ? Why is Teaching preferred most after M.tech ?

As heard from alot of people around me when i talk about going for M.tech in I.T. , first thing they say is "so you're gonna be a lecturer ?" , why is it so , it is creating alot of confusion in my mind ? Aren't M.tech qualified professionals absorbed by MNC's or other organisations ? Please guide..

In ground reality M.tech Students Have not Much job Opportunities in India. Half of the Branches of M.Tech in any of the Field Engineering Seriously have no use in Corporate Sector. After M.tech person get Specialized in Particular Field. While B.Tech Student Can be Used in Any of the branch in Which he has done Engineering. that's Why package of M.Tech Students has Also less than B.Tech. Due to low Job Oppurtunites Students go With Teaching field.
