    Well, talking about Biotechnology Engineering in India, the biotechnology engineering is losing its value and is not that much-concerned branch like other core branches. There are various reasons for this. Like low placement packages, few good institutes for Biotechnology Engineering, no proper furnished labs with needed equipment, lack of funds for research, etc.

    Biotechnology means any technological application that uses biological systems or living organisms to make or modify products or processes for specific use.
    Bio technologist can be employed in pharmaceutical companies, chemical, food processing, agriculture and allied industries.     Biotechnology is the use of living systems and organisms to develop or make products, or "any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms, or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products or processes for specific use". Scope: Biotechnology was considered as a golden field for career options during late 90s but it couldn't full fill the dreams of researchers. As most of companies could not develop the products for mass uses.
