    Hello,
Both the NITs are at the top level. For NIT Trichy, your rank should be at least near to the 1050 for other state student. And for home state is at least 4000.

As these both are top NITs among all NITs. So, approximately you must have scored 280+ to get admission in CSE.

Please visit the official JOSAA website. It will have detailed cutoffs for every branch of every college.
  • Hello Abhay,
Marks are an important criteria but the admissions are based on your ranks in JEE Main which includes reservations based on caste. For general category it is only All India rank (AIR).
So if you belong to general category then for CSE in NIT,Trichy or Warangal your AIR should be less than 300 while for other categories you need to have a rank below 500 or so.
It is because they are top NITs and CSE is a highly demanded course.

NIT, Warangal and NIT, Trichy are the top NITs, so get into these colleges and that too in CSE branch. The individual must work very hard. For an open category student, to get into these institutes his rank should be below 1000, and his JEE marks should be 270+. For OBC category student, his rank should be below 2500 and JEE marks should be 240+. All the best.
