What are the merits in getting direct 2nd year admission in B.Tech mechanical engineering after completing 3-year Diploma in the same?

Dear Amol,
To get admission in B.Tech, you will have to appear for the LEET entrance exam conducted by each state university or you will have to gain good rank to get admission in the government colleges because only 10% seats are available for the lateral entry students. Merit cannot be confirmed as each state university has its own merit list.
