The minimum marks required for M.Tech at NSUT (formerly NSIT) in 2023 depend on the branch, category, and GATE score of the candidate. The admission is based on the GATE score and rank, followed by counselling through JAC Delhi. The cutoff marks vary every year depending on the difficulty level of the exam, number of seats available, number of candidates registered and appeared, etc.

The cutoff marks for M.Tech at NSUT for the year 2021 (Round 7) are as follows :

    BranchGeneral Category
    Bioinformatics361
    Computer Science and Engineering367
    Electrical Engineering350
    Mobile Communication & Network Technology371
    VLSI Design & Embedded System376

It is required to have a good GATE score. The GATE minimum cutoff score for the General, EWS, and OBC categories is between 600 and 650.
The minimum GATE score required for SC/ST categories is between 450 and 500.In addition to their GATE results, candidates must have earned a minimum of 60% overall in their B.Tech or BE degree (or 55% for SC/ST candidates).
Candidates who have been shortlisted must show up for a round of interviews that will be weighted 50%.
Final admission is determined by a merit list created from a combined score of 100, with 50% of the weight going to the interview performance and 50% going to the GATE score.
