Non-CAP seats are the ones that are allotted internally by the institute and the Directorate Of Technical Education is not involved in the allotment of any of the seats falling in this category. Cutoffs for Non-CAP seats are decided by the college and a college-specific application form is required to get into the admission process. After that, a merit list is published and seats are allotted on the basis of merit. Non CAP seats include institutional seats, NRI, Foreign national seats (15% additional quota), and J and K Migrant quota 1 to 2 percent. All other category seats are under the CAP round.
