    Hi Manika,
    Bachelor of Ayurveda and Surgery Medicine (BAMS) and Surgery is a medical degree made for those who have studied about the modern medicine and traditional Ayurveda. It is 5½ years course. (4½ year course and 1 year internship).
    But, practically it takes 6 years to complete due to various reasons in various states. The course aims at providing basic education in Ayurveda leading to the degree of B.A.M.S. It aims at preparing graduates of profound scholarship in the science of Ayurveda having basic and fundamental knowledge in different subjects of Ayurveda
