What are the options available after 12th?

Anjali, you may look at fields of Vision and Design. Vision requires an ability to absorb knowledge and find new perspectives. Then the perspectives must be presented either as a Story or as a Commentary/ Documentary. This can also be translated into a New Product, a New Game, a Live Film, an Animation, or a New Graphic/ Illustration. Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. They must read this <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://bit.ly/SXc9GD" style='word-wrap:break-word;'>http://bit.ly/SXc9GD</a>. Again like science it pays to be at the cutting edge. For e.g. science students do better if they go for CS or IT since that are areas where development is taking place rapidly. Similarly in Design the cutting edge areas are UID/ UXD, 3D Printing, Immersive Technology, Augmented Reality, 3D Projection etc, besides of course Game Design &amp; Animation. Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing (usually reserved for writers and visionaries) - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, &amp; of course Game Studios. At this stage, you may want to understand the creative world and the careers it offers. There are many careers for the creative/ artistic people. Interiors, textile as well as Web Design rely on the same skills - your layout skills and color sense. Journalism also is at this level and relies on your language skills &amp; knowledge of history and current affairs. A little higher perches Graphic Design, Fashion Design, jewellery design, Acting, &amp; Fine Arts which rely on one of your artistic skills - sketching &amp; imagination. At a similar level perches VFX as well as Motion Graphics which rely on one of your artistic skills - Cinematographic skills &amp; imagination. Then come careers like Animation, Film Making, Game Design which rely on multiple talents like your authority over sketching, acting, direction, voice, sound, writing, storytelling and problem solving skills etc. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Do remember that digital design careers (e.g. web design, graphics, UI design, animation, vfx, multimedia) give better profits since they can be delivered anywhere in the world &amp; hence may earn in dollars - resulting in better rewards for designers. Anjali, If you are confused about careers after 12th/ graduation, there are a few ways to approach this. One, is to go for a career counsellor who would take parametric tests and identify your strengths and weaknesses and advise career categories to attempt. Also, if you are very good with, and like maths and programming, you may opt for Computers (BTech or BCA). Whereas, if you are good with Drawing and Creative opt for Design (Animation, VFX, Games, Fashion). If you are good with words become a writer (content, news, fiction, ads) or director. If you are good with keeping records go for Accounts or Stats or administration. If you are good with logic and have patience go for Law. If you are good at memorizing and love nature and are caring go for medical. If you are good with people and are quick with decisions, go for Management. If you are good with nothing become a politican (haha, pun intended - actually you need very good insight into future for this). Wish you the best for your career. Hi anjali, u can opt for Economics with mathemetics/statistics, B.COM(Accounts major),BBA , Hotel/tourism management. u can even go for the subjects like maths/stats honours

In my opinion, Indian students like you must consider moving towards the best to live and work countries which are not western countries. Why most students follow the conventional path of studying in India or in the west? Why Indian students are obsessed with the west? Is it the 200 years of colonial mindset? Most of them struggle to survive in the west and work for peanuts in India. So called 'average' and below 'average' students (although it is judged by marks to which I personally don't subscribe to) must look at countries like Bahrain and UAE for their destination for bachelor and masters degrees because the GCC region still the best for job opportunities, offering excellent tax free salaries, and most safe and secured high standard of living that one cannot expect in the west unless they are immensely gifted and possessing extra-ordinarily talented.

Dear Anjali, After 12th you can think of doing b.com, bba, bca and after that you will have many options to choose from. You can do PG or Masters in your interest areas. Good Luck.

Hello Anjali ! There are plenty of opportunities for you at the moment and many careers to choose from. You have B.Com, BBA, BBM, Hotel Management, BCA, CA/ICWA/CS to choose from. Don't get confused. Instead Focus on your strengths and look for areas where you your interest. Good Luck !
