    To pass the Maharashtra HSC exam, you must receive a score of 35 percent according to the MSBSHSE grading scale. The HSC exam in Maharashtra is equivalent to Class 12 in the CBSE. You must receive at least 35% on each of the theory and practical papers in order to pass the HSC exam. If your score is less than 35%, you will be deemed unsuccessful and have to take the Supplementary Exam to pass the HSC. Between 35% and 44% is the cutoff for passing, and anything above this mark results in the following grade:
