LPU is the delighted recipient of the Golden Star Award for Best Placements in India for 2018. Every year, incredible organisations such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Samsung, HDFC bank, Colgate, and many others come to school for on-campus interviews and hire a large number of students. Surprisingly, Cognizant Technology Solutions hired 610 students in a single day, the highest number in North India to date. As a final-year LPU student, I've noticed that LPU believes that it's not about calling firms; it's about preparing students and ensuring that they are chosen, as they put so much effort into their students' placements. They exclusively conduct Professional enhancement programme classes for that reason, in which students are prepared to pass the placement processes. 21 LPA was the highest salary package offered, 5.5 LPA is the average salary package. The university has a tie-up with over 700 companies that come for campus placements. Yes, LPU is the best place for quality education as well as placements in all the programmes. LPU has a very good placement record in an MBA programme. One of my friends did MBA in HR at LPU and got placed in an MNC as an Executive HR. Also, in my view, I think you should not worry about the placements. If you work hard in the course and learn as much as you can, any company visiting the campus would be happy to hire you. However, you must not neglect to polish your communication skills as well, because companies will check that in their interviews. LPU provides plenty of opportunities to its students to take part in events, competitions, fests in order to let them grow their personalities and give them a chance to polish their skills. The package depends on what the student can show to the recruiters, how much he is worth or deserves. Recently, LPU achieves the Guinness World Records title of "the largest online video album of people saying the same sentence, " where students are thanking LPU for making them a part of its the largest placements network- Every year around 100-150 companies visit LPU to recruit MBAs. Among the companies are some big names like Amazon, Flipkart, Moody Analytics, ICICI, HDFC, AXIS, Federal bank, WNS GLOBAL, ITC, 99 Acres, Colgate, Asian paints, Berger, Nero lac and Cavin care, etc., from all domains visit LPU to recruit the students and these are good companies. The year 2020 saw a jump of 20% in placement offers while a surge of 15% was registered in a number of companies visiting campus for placements in comparison to last year. The highest package offered by the Indian multinational for MBA touched Rs. 18 LPA by Go Winning while the highest international package of Rs. 28 LPA was offered by Amazon in Berlin. Both average and median salary packages offered to MBA students at Chandigarh University touched a new high in 2020. More than 30 companies recruited students from Banking & Finance specializations while 100 multinationals recruited students with Marketing and Business Analytics specializations. A total of 30 companies recruited students with HR specialization while 20+ MNCs students of IT specialization. Some of the companies which offered the highest packages included IT Companies Amazon & Mindtree which offered 28 LPA and 14 LPA respectively, and Financial & Consultancy Global firm Deloitte, which offered Rs. 8 LPA package to MBA students. Besides that ICICI Bank made a record number of 95 selections in a single day during campus placements 2019-20. Being an alumni I would like to say that LPU would be the best place for doing MBA. The Business School of LPU is accredited from (ACBSP) Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs from the USA ensuring quality education and industry experienced faculty members, studying in LPU will get a degree accredited from a body of USA. This gives the students credibility of their quality and education during their placements to the Companies and for higher studies. Lots of scholarships opportunities for deserving students, which will make pursuing an MBA at a very affordable cost.
