Yes, LPU is a good college for mechanical engineering for better career prospects. Major industries that employ mechanical engineers include automobiles, space research, aeronautical, energy and utilities, air conditioning, bio-mechanical industry. The highest salary package offered to mechanical branch students is 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. Above 80% of the students got placed from college. Top recruiting companies are Bosch, ONGC, Ashok Leyland, Hitachi, etc.

The highest salary package offered to mechanical branch students is 31 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 7-8LPA. Top recruiting companies are Bosch, ONGC, Ashok Leyland, Hitachi, etc. The LPU offers a Teach in Mechanical Engineering. It is an Engineering programme which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal etc. Specialisation. The Eligibility Criteria is (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST/ JEE (Mains). For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) If Candidate has 85 or more percentile in JEE (Mains), then LPU NEST is exempted.
