What are the pros and cons in doing Major in a foriegn language like German or Chinese? What are the job opportunities in the same?

A foreign language degree can prove to be really helpful if you wish to work abroad as well as in your homeland. You can work for an embassy or in any translation work.
However, those jobs are limited. Also, working abroad might prove to be costlier than working in India.
