Excel Pros

Contains a Visual Basic editor for fast programming

Allows list creation and quick and easy graphing

It can preview before printing the sheets.

Files can be protected using a password

Allows you to see two or more applications on the screen at the same time

Performs arithmetic operations with formulas

Handles headers and footers, titles, margins, automatic page numbering, and automatic insertion of date and time

Allows you to manipulate data directly

A portable application. It can be sent by email and can be synchronized with PDAs.

Creates pivot tables, filters & sorts data, and separates text tables in columns

Excel Cons

Files take up a lot of space

Paid version is not affordable for everyone

It is a programme unable to handle dates before 1990

The user needs to enter each operation manually

Some people consider the graphics insufficient or of poor quality

Does not work to be customized with financial subsets

Cannot be self-taught; you need to learn through courses or tutorials

Viruses could get attached to an Excel file through macros

Due to its technical requirements, a powerful computer in good condition is required.

Information can be lost if the application is divided into way too many files
