To become a Radio Operator, here are some requirements you'll be required to fulfil.
I) A Diploma or certification will be required from a recognised institution.
II) For an Amateur Radio Operator post, you may pass the Amateur Station Operator's Certificate (ASOC) exam. It is conducted by the Wireless and Planning and Coordination Wing (WPC). Or, to become a Radio Operator for JSSC, you need to pass the JSSC Radio Operator exam.
III) The last requirement is to obtain a license.Apart from this, you may also need to show your Indian National proof.

No educational qualification is specified to become a ham. Anybody who has attained 12 years of age can become a ham radio operator after passing the Amateur Station Operator's Certificate (ASOC) Examination
conducted by the Ministry of Communications, Govt. of India.
You have to send a "Birth Certificate" or the class X certificate (which mentions your date-of-birth) as a proof of your age.
There are 2 different grades of Amateur Wireless Telegraph Station Licence.
General Grade
Restricted Grade
