In the context of admission criteria for M.Tech programs for the academic year 2022-23 Birla Institute of Technology Mesra had fixed cutoff marks based on the GATE score and marks/percentage achieved in their under graduation examinations. The minimum GATE score cutoff was in the range of 45-60 mark
