<p>For admission to the Ph.D. programme at the School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University, candidates need to meet the following criteria:</p><p>Educational Qualification: A Master's degree or a professional degree equivalent to a Master's degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' on the UGC 7-point scale. A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) is available for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled candidates and other categories as per UGC norms</p><p>Entrance Examination: Candidates need to pass the CMRU entrance test (CMRET), which includes papers on General Aptitude &amp; Research Methodology and a domain-specific subject. Each paper consists of 60 multiple-choice questions</p><p>Exemptions: Candidates who have qualified for UGC/CSIR NET (JRF), SET/SLET, GATE, or have an M.Phil degree from a recognised university are exempt from the entrance test</p>
