What are the requirements to become a chef after 12th? Which are the best colleges for the same?

I am pursuing 11th from Commerce stream.

    Hi Ezeekiel,
    The first option is to do a course in Hotel Management or in Culinary Arts at a reputed professional institute.
    - The 19 institutes registered under the National Council of Hotel Management provide excellent training in the field.
    Apart from these, there are institutes run by reputed hotel chains and some private institutes with foreign affiliations and approvals from the All India Council for Technical Education.
    - Institutes under the National Council offer a three-year diploma course while private institutes offer a four-year Bachelor's programme.

    Bachelor of Hotel Management BHM Eligibility Criteria:
    * Candidate should have complete 10+2 or any equivalent examination from any recognised board or university. * The candidate can be from any stream Commerce, Science and Arts & Humanities. * Most top colleges conduct an entrance exam and a potential interview round as part of the screening process.

    Hi there Ezekiel,
    Most reputed colleges that offer culinary education to train and become a chef require passing marks in your 12th in any discipline from a recognised board. There are institutions in cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore & Delhi that offer world-class culinary education today.
    I would personally add that you need to have a real passion for cooking, the desire to learn and the willingness to work very hard if you want to become a thumping good chef.
