After completing an ANM in India, one goes through the following steps to practice as a registered nurse in Canada: First, take the qualification assessment from CNA or other recognised bodies for credentialing. Also, applicants need to prove their linguistic competence by taking IELTS or CELPIP among other tests. Following this, you should pass the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination) or the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination in the province, and may also be required to work for several years depending on the province.
