Airline jobs have always been glamorous, to begin with. Because of that a lot of people have been in awe of women, especially air hostesses working in the airlines. But sometimes, there can be a few unruly passengers who may create unnecessary trouble for the air hostesses.
But with more and more airlines coming up and air travel becoming cheaper and more and more people using air transport, the sight of air hostesses has become quite common and people as well have become more disciplined and cases of misdemeanor have gone down quite a bit. Aviation and girls have a very old relationship. Air Hostesses are associated with flying almost since the inception of commercial aviation. Girls or women have now entered almost all other fields of aviation which were earlier reserved for males. Air Traffic Control, Meteorologist, Pilot, Navigation, AME, computer science, etc. Of course in the bargain, the exclusive preserve of air hostess has now been replaced by Cabin Crew where both girls and boys work shoulder to shoulder. Nowadays, almost every airline in aviation industry follows a policy of equal treatment to all its staff members irrespective of Caste, Gender or Origin.
As far as female staff safety is concerned, policies are implemented and effectively followed, so that none is harassed in any manner.
Since, I am employed with Air India, let me narrate an example showing equal authority in Air India to women pilots like that for men pilots.

In today's era, you can not afford to think that if you are a girl then you are not fit for the aviation sector. In this global age of women driven world, when women are commercial pilots, IAF's pilots, Defense Minister then why can't they work in AAI or ATC industry.
