What are the salaries for a game programmer? Which holds better prospects- game designer or game developer?

Hi, i want to become a game developer (or)game designer.what is best? wanna know how much can a very good Game Programmer get per year? can he get six figure salaries after 8 to 10 years of experience? thanq you.

for game developer u have to be an eng in COMPUTER SCIENCE and should have soud knowledge of animation and after 8-10 yrs of exp u salary can be in six digits..
