What are the salary prospects in MBA?

Salary differs from college to college. Say for example if you have done PG in Management from IIMs, you can expect 16-18 lacs average package, but instead if you have done it from normal college that doesn't fall in Tier-1 and Tier-2 colleges then it is unlikely to get 16-18 lacs as per annum salary. -
Well, if you've heard for reliable sources like The Hindu or the Economic Times it is true. The salary at the top 3 IIMs are very high.
Before I mention the salaries, let me start by saying that there are two types of placements:
The Summer Placements: These are internships and salary may range from a few lakhs to even 10,000 per month and is for a period of two to three months. This internship may turn into a full time job based on your performance.

The salary depends upon from where you are pursuing your MBA. If you are doing it from a good college then surely you will get a high package.
