What are the scopes in automobile engineering?

If you want to pursue a career in automobile engineering, India provides one the finest platform in the world. It is looking for good development in the future. The Indian automotive sector comprising of passenger vehicle, commercial vehicles, two wheelers and three wheelers is a prominent player in the economy. It saw a rapid growth since its de-licensing in 1993 allowing global automotive giants to set up their manufacturing facilities in the country. India was ranked second largest manufacturer of two wheelers, fifth in commercial vehicles and fifth in passenger cars (beating Thailand, one of the toughest competitor in this sector). In the last seven years, the volume in auto industry of the country grew by 11.6% making it one of the top contributor of GDP. As of 2010, India is home to 40 million passenger vehicles. More than 3.7 million automotive vehicles were produced in India in 2010 (an increase of 33.9%), making the country the second (after China) fastest growing automobile market in the world.

After automobile engineering you can go to Germany for M.Tech. PSUs and railways offers job in automobile engineering. You can work in workshop, after 5-10 years you have opportunity to become a workshop manager on the basis of your performance. Automobile engineering is the best and evergreen field of engineering. It is the only field where you can observe all the fundamentals practically.

The automotive engineering career option is very creative & fast paced. It is one of the most preferred careers by engineers. The job opportunity as an Automobile Engineers is increases due to rapid growth of auto component in automobile sector. Lovely Professional University is one of the prestigious institute of India for higher studies and placements. See, in India, there is very less scope of automobile engineering as there are very less plants of the automobiles manufacturing and in those plants also the top colleges students grabs all the jobs.

In the USA, the Midwest is the best place to be an automobile engineer because of the concentration of automobile manufacturing firms in the region. In Europe, Germany is the leading automobile manufacturer. There is a large demand for automobile engineers in Japan, South Korea, China and India. More specifically in India, the Maharashtra province offers the most jobs as well as the highest level of salary in this field. The city of Bangalore is also a good place to be an automobile engineer within India.
