What are the subjects in B.Tech biotechnology?

First year covers subjects which are common to other B.Tech courses like Computers, Mathematics, Physio-Organic Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Science, Organic chemistry, and the basics like Foundation courses in Biology, Intro to biotechnology, and Techniques in Biotechnology. Second year: Core subjects were Microbiology, Cell biology, Bioenergetics, Cell Biology, Genetics, Chemical Engineering, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Enzyme Technology. Third Year An important year with interesting subjects like Animal Biotechnology, Recombinant DNA technology, Developmental and stem cell biology, Plant Biotechnology, Unit operations and plant design, Bioinformatics, Statistical Methods in Biology and Experimental Design, Downstream Processing, Medical Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering. Last but not the least, Fourth Year Environmental Biotechnology, Protein Biotechnology, Marketing management which was replaced by Entrepreneurship and Management (NUES) in 2016 updated syllabus, Bioprocess Control Engineering, Intellectual Property Rights, Biosafety and Bioethics in Biotechnology. Along with the Project of Six months in last semester. Happily graduated. All the best.
