    There are some common subjects like reporting & editing, broadcast production, communication theory & research (at Masters level), film studies & single and multicamera production, media & cultural studies, advertising & PR, managing media organisations, media law & constitution etc. There are uncommon areas too like social sciences, humanities, development, environment and globalisation. The two must complement each other especially at the Masters level. Only then can one hope to be a media person of some worth.
